Mount Rainier Cabins

Most of Jennie's family has worked at the Inn at one time or another. Her son Allen and his wife Peggy managed the restaurant in the 80's. Jennie's husband did repairs and carpentry, including building the lunch counter at Copper Creek Restaurant. Her son Donnie worked on and off for years at Copper Creek Inn in the kitchen and doing general maintenance.

Jennie Zeulich, often called "Grandma Jennie" by the staff at Copper Creek, passes the pie making torch to a new generation of pie bakers, but her recipe remains true . . .

While in her 90's, Jennie used to come into the restaurant and check on the quality of the pies. She'd often announce, "I think I'll come back to work!"

Above, Jennie with her daughter-in-law Jerry, who waitressed at Copper creek for many years.
