| A Cabin on the Sky is a vacation rental located on the North Fork of the Skykomish River in Index, Washington. The hand crafted cabin offers excellent views of Mt. Index, Mt. Persis and Gunn Peak. The Skykomish River, known for its beauty, power, steelhead fishing and whitewater rafting, drifts right in front of the cabin.

A Cabin On The Sky From Seattle, take the nearest floating bridge (WA 520, or I-90) eastbound to I-405 and head north. Nearing the Bothell/Woodinville area look for Highway 522 East and take exit. Continue on Highway 522 East till the end of the road in Monroe. Turn left, heading east towards Stevens Pass. Travel east on Highway 2 about 25 miles. About 1/2 mile after crossing a bridge over the South Fork of the Skykomish River, you will turn left on the Index-Galena Road (not marked - look for the sign "Index" as you approach). If you cross under a train trestle overpass, you just missed the left turn. |
